Our public workshops are open to anyone who’s curious about themselves, their patterns, and how to live a more connected, intentional life.
Led by qualified psychotherapists, counsellors, and people with lived experience, these sessions offer a safe, welcoming space to explore the things we all wrestle with — identity, emotions, relationships, purpose — without judgement or pressure.
Whether you’re navigating a big life change, feeling a little stuck, or simply want to understand yourself better, these workshops are designed to meet you where you are.
We’re currently offering our six-week 'Roots' programme, which runs at the same time each week over six consecutive weeks. This consistent structure helps build a sense of trust and connection among participants.
These events are open to anyone over the age of 18 — you don’t need to be in crisis or “into therapy.” They’re for anyone who wants to understand themselves better and be in a community with others doing the same.

We keep our events intentionally small — no more than 15 people — so there’s space to reflect, share, or simply listen without pressure. Each session is guided by experienced professionals who bring a grounded, therapeutic approach that’s both insightful and refreshingly down-to-earth.
Sessions run for two hours and follow a gentle structure: a blend of real-world psychotherapy insights, open conversation, space to reflect, and group discussion. It’s deep, but never overwhelming — designed to spark insight while still feeling spacious and supportive.
We host our workshops in relaxed, welcoming venues — community spaces, cosy cafés, places that feel more like a living room than a classroom. And there’s no pressure to talk; you’re free to show up exactly as you are, and take part in whatever way feels right for you.
"Roots" is a workshop series exploring the patterns, reactions, and emotions that often run deeper than we realise. It’s for anyone who’s ever found themselves snapping, shutting down, spiralling into self-doubt — and wondering, “Where did that even come from?”
Across the series, we'll gently uncover where these reactions are rooted: how early experiences, relationships, and survival strategies have shaped the way we respond to life today. You'll learn to make sense of your emotional triggers, build awareness of your patterns, and find new ways to respond — without letting old stories define your present or your future.
This isn't about blaming the past. It's about understanding it, so you can grow beyond it.
We know there are plenty of books, podcasts and videos out there that talk about triggers, trauma, and emotional patterns — and a lot of them are great. But what makes our programme different is that you're not doing it alone.
This is real-world connection. Human to human. A space where you're not just learning - you're connecting.
These workshops aren’t about fixing anyone. They’re about understanding yourself in the company of others who get it — sitting in a room where honesty is welcome, emotions are normal, and reflection happens together. Because that’s how insight becomes real. That’s how we start doing things differently. And that’s what makes this more than just information — it’s connection, and connection changes things.
Every reaction has a root. In this first session, we’ll explore why we sometimes react more strongly than we expect — and why certain situations feel so much bigger than they "should." We’ll look at the emotional and biological roots of our patterns, how they were wired into us over time, and what they might be trying to protect. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what’s happening beneath the surface — and how greater awareness opens the door to real choice and change.
Our nervous system often responds before we even realise it — choosing survival strategies that once kept us safe.
This session unpacks the five core survival responses and how they show up in everyday life, from shutting down in arguments to people-pleasing or lashing out. You’ll start to recognise your own patterns, understand the roots behind them, and explore how to ground yourself when life feels overwhelming.
Sometimes the reactions we have today are tangled up with relationships from our past — especially with early caregivers.
In this session, we’ll explore how childhood experiences shape how we respond to authority, conflict, and closeness in adulthood. It’s not about blaming the past. It’s about seeing the connections — so we can choose to respond differently now, rather than staying stuck in old scripts.
Not all roots are external. Some are buried inside us — in the form of shame, spiralling thoughts, and harsh inner voices. This session looks at the inner experience of being triggered: where self-blame comes from, why it can feel so loud, and how to start shifting from criticism to compassion. It’s deep work — but also deeply freeing.
When life gets chaotic, we need more than just insight — we need tools we can actually use. This session focuses on practical strategies to ground yourself, stay connected to your body, and navigate tough emotions without getting swept away. Whether your triggers are loud and external or quiet and internal, you’ll leave with approaches that feel doable, gentle, and effective.
In this final session, we’ll pull together everything you’ve uncovered over the series — the roots you’ve explored, the patterns you’ve named, and the tools you’ve started to use. You’ll have space to reflect on what’s shifted, what’s still tender, and what you want to carry forward.
It’s not about tying everything up in a neat bow. It’s about noticing your growth, honouring the process, and rooting yourself more deeply in self-awareness, compassion, and choice.
